Wimbledon Woods, Hayward CA 560 units, acquired 1992 SNK bought the 16 year-old Tanglewood Apartments in 1992. It then refurbished the 580-unit complex and repositioned it to capitalize on its extensive tennis courts and facilities. Four years later, the complex renamed Wimbledon Woods, was sold for an $8 million gain to The Hayman Company. It is now a reliable income-producer in the portfolio of Essex Property Trust.
